Supplying to the UK government: opportunities, guidance and and insights for Made in Britain members
THE UK government spends in the region of £280 billion a year on buying goods and services from external suppliers. It is committed to 33 per cent of central government procurement spend going to SMEs, directly or via the supply chain, by 2022.
Made in Britain is pleased to offer members the opportunity to hear directly from Martin Traynor OBE, small business crown representative at the cabinet office. He is the voice for SMEs in UK government procurement, supporting departments in the delivery of their plans to increase spend with SMEs and to communicate with SMEs about the opportunities that are available.
In this session, Martin will tell members where to go for opportunities to supply the UK government, how to register for government procurement opportunities, explain what to consider to be as competitive as possible. He will also talk about social value and the timetable for rules reform, including how Made in Britain members can have their say on what the new UK procurement rules should look like.
Members will also have the opportunity to put questions to Martin at the end of the session. Please let us know if you would like to submit a question in advance.
