Impact Awards 2023 now open for entry

Entries are now open for our second annual manufacturing impact and achievement awards, the Made in Britain Impact Awards 2023.

The Made in Britain Impact Awards are open exclusively to all our members that are accredited with the licence to use the collective mark. The awards will give you the chance to tell your story of achievement and be recognised within manufacturing and your industry sector.

In our second year, the categories of this year’s Impact Awards have been broadened, but still focused on the measurable success of our members in marketing, sales, green and good business, team leadership, and innovation.

The awards are being judged by industry experts across the manufacturing industry, with additional judges from marketing, procurement, supply chain and retail.

Winners will be celebrated with a coveted trophy and virtual awards ceremony for you and your guests, which will be held on Thursday 2nd November.

This year's categories

Categories Details
Rising Star This award highlights the individual who shows clear passion and commitment to their organisation. The judges are looking for examples of how this person has shown initiative and led change from within. The judges are especially looking for evidence of how this person has built support for their ideas and gained traction amongst their co-workers.
Social Value This award will recognise the organisation that has bought social value to life within their business for their employees, customers and the local area. Social Value is defined through the Public Services Act 2012, which requires all public sector organisations (and their suppliers) to look beyond the financial cost of a contract and consider how the services they commission and procure might improve the economic, social, and environmental well-being of an area.
Export Excellence This award will highlight businesses that have demonstrated export excellence either as an organisation new to export and seeking global growth or those businesses that are seasoned exporters and have forged a new path.
Excellence in Tendering for New Business This award will cast a light on an often unseen key area of business success - procurement. Strategic procurement can both drive the organisation into profitable growth as well as create shelter in an unsettled trading environment.
Marketing Campaign of the Year This award will be given to the organisation that has created the largest impact with a marketing campaign for their organisation.
Green Growth Manufacturer This award will highlight businesses that have shown commitment to green and better business and sustainable growth. Judges are looking for results-driven business outcomes, which have been demonstrated by internal and external change for colleagues, customers and suppliers alike.
Sustainable Packaging  This award will credit businesses that have reappraised their packaging solutions, in search of more sustainable alternatives. Judges are looking for packaging solutions that can be scaled, and where the circular economy is a core focus.
Greatest Impact with the Made in Britain Mark A survey by Made in Britain revealed that 66% of commercial buyers and 50% of consumers recognised the Made in Britain Mark, which makes your use of the Made in Britain Mark licence all the most important to use effectively on your products, packaging, supply chain, and marketing. This award recognises the business whose use of the Mark within their business has been the most transformative.
Innovation of the Year  This award will credit businesses that have either taken an existing product, service or process and re-engineered it for future, sustainable growth, or have created a new product, service, or process for their organisation.
Leader of the Year  This award will be given to the senior executive who demonstrates leadership in manufacturing. This person will have driven forward innovative initiatives in their business and acted as a champion for sustainable business more broadly in their sector. The judges are looking for clear evidence of programmes they have led and succeeded in, and how they have taken others on that journey.
