Product Description

The utilisation of diamond suspensions in the Metallographic Specimen Preparation process is crucial for achieving high-quality polished surfaces that are ready for analysis. The choice of diamond suspension to use is dependent on the material being polished and the desired surface finish. The most common diamond suspension used is Monocrystalline, which provides excellent performance for a majority of processes. However, in certain instances, Polycrystalline diamond suspension is necessary, especially when polishing hard or sintered materials where exceptional stock removal and polishing performance are required.

Kemet offers the latest innovation in water based diamond suspensions for sample preparation, known as Aquapol. This cutting-edge solution is available in both Monocrystalline (Aquapol-M) and Polycrystalline (Aquapol-P) variants. One of the key advantages of Aquapol is its ease of cleaning and non-foaming properties. It provides uniform suspension of diamond particles without the need for agitation and is compatible with Kemet's Electronic Dispenser or alternative systems.

Moreover, Aquapol is an eco-friendly solution with zero Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and is colour-coded for easy identification. The recommended lubricating fluid type is W9 and the product is available in 400g bottles with a trigger spray. 500ml, 1 litre, 2.5 litres, and other sizes are available upon request.

In addition to the water-based solutions, Kemet also offers low viscosity, high concentration oil-based suspensions in Monocrystalline (Type OM) and Polycrystalline (Type OP) variants. These suspensions provide a versatile solution for sample preparation on a wide range of materials and applications.
