British lighting manufacturer Northern Lights has unveiled its largest product launch to date, introducing over 70 new lighting designs crafted entirely in the UK at its Derbyshire-based facility.
With a heritage spanning nearly four decades, Northern Lights continues to lead the way in British artisan lighting, combining traditional handcrafting techniques with modern manufacturing technologies to produce lighting solutions that are both functional and beautiful.
Drawing inspiration from global architecture, ancient craftsmanship, and natural forms, the new collections reflect the company’s commitment to preserving traditional skills such as hand-spinning, metal folding, and texturing, while investing in advanced processes like laser cutting, CNC machining, and custom finishing.
Each piece is carefully developed by the in-house design and production team, with bespoke finishes created through patination, brushing, powder coating, and acid treatments. Every element is manufactured under one roof, ensuring full control over quality, sustainability, and customisation.
Among the highlights of the new collections:
-Vistal – Crafted from laser-cut brass creating the illusion of delicate pleats, this design captures the interplay of light and shadow with either alabaster or opal glass at its core.
-Geo – A contemporary silhouette combining precision-machined brass and organic alabaster, embodying quiet luxury.
-Cairo – Folded metal and hand-applied hammered textures take cues from ancient Egyptian craftsmanship.
-Kyoto – Precision-engineered fretwork in mixed metals, balanced with a soft opal light source.
This extensive launch reflects Northern Lights’ mission to champion British design and manufacturing, offering highly customisable solutions for the hospitality, cruise, and high-end residential sectors worldwide.
