Innovation takes centre stage once again at Futurebuild with the return of The Big Innovation Pitch. This dynamic competition challenges exhibitors to present their most ground-breaking ideas to a panel of experts, led by Dr. Oliver Jones, Associate Director of Sustainability and Innovation at Cundall. Three finalists will go head-to-head in a live dragons’ den-style pitch on the Futurebuild Arena stage, vying for the title of the industry’s top innovator.
This year, we’ve entered SuperTherm, our cutting-edge lime plaster in development. Featuring an innovative foamed aggregate with a nanometre pore structure, SuperTherm prevents the directional flow of heat that results in heat loss through the building envelope. We’re in it to win it—wish us luck for the shortlist!
Visitors can also explore the Innovation Trail, a curated journey across the exhibition floor, where groundbreaking products, materials, and technologies will inspire attendees to meet sustainability targets and enhance project performance.
At its core, Futurebuild 2025 will focus on innovation and sustainability, tackling the most pressing challenges in construction with a clear focus on its 2025 theme: Impact.
Five Impact Stages
Futurebuild has five curated impact stages that will deliver expert insights on topics critical to the industry. The Futurebuild Arena will once again be the hub of thought leadership, hosting sessions on critical themes such as circularity and reuse in construction, sustainability and social justice, and practical steps for industry progress. These discussions will provide visitors with actionable strategies to navigate industry challenges and achieve their sustainability goals.
Also at Futurebuild, the co-located National Retrofit Conference and Expo will address the urgent need to decarbonise existing buildings. Curated by Retrofit Academy CIC on days one and two, and the National Retrofit Hub on day three, it will offer insights and showcase cutting-edge solutions to scale retrofit efforts effectively.
