Excell announces "The Heritage" - a new fully British-made range

Portsmouth-based manufacturer, Excell Metal Spinning Ltd, has announced an exciting new venture into British-made consumer products starting with the launch of its own range of handcrafted cookware, proudly named “The Heritage.”

Excell Metal Spinning has long championed British craftsmanship — using traditional metal spinning techniques to produce precision components for a wide range of industries. Now, the company is applying those same artisanal skills to create a collection of premium cookware that celebrates the enduring values of British manufacturing: quality, sustainability, and longevity.

“The Heritage captures the essence of Made in Britain,” said Curtis Bligh, Head of Marketing & Sales at Excell Metal Spinning. “It’s traditional, high-quality, and sustainable — designed to last for generations. Every detail, from the materials we source to the way we craft and finish each pan, reflects centuries of British manufacturing heritage.”

Each pan in The Heritage range is meticulously handcrafted using the age-old process of metal spinning — one of the most conservative and sustainable forms of metal forming. The cookware features cast iron handles that can be re-seasoned indefinitely, non-stick tin linings that can be easily re-tinned, and eco-friendly packaging sourced and produced in Britain.

In keeping with Excell’s commitment to domestic manufacturing, every element of the cookware is Made in Britain:

✅ Handles – Made in Britain
✅ Rivets – Made in Britain
✅ Pans – Made in Britain
✅ Tin Lining & Polishing – In Britain
✅ Packaging – Made in Britain

Proudly spun in Portsmouth, a city steeped in maritime and industrial history, The Heritage range represents more than just cookware — it embodies the living continuum of British making, celebrating craftsmanship passed down through generations.

As part of the launch, Excell Metal Spinning is collaborating with the University of Portsmouth on a business consultancy project led by academic Amy Doyle and Ze Zook, giving students the opportunity to work on real-world business scenarios while helping shape the marketing strategy for The Heritage range. “The students’ forward-thinking ideas have been invaluable in helping us develop our launch strategy,” Bligh added.

A December 2025 launch is planned, with first product images already released, giving a glimpse behind the scenes as the range takes shape.

A placeholder website is now live at https:www.TheHeritageExcell.co.uk, where visitors can register to receive updates ahead of the official launch.

“The Heritage range represents the legacy of Excell Metal Spinning — and our passion for keeping traditional British craftsmanship alive.”
