As a member of the BEAMA Low Voltage Distribution & Infrastructure Products Group, Focus SB has been invited to contribute to the production of the organisation's latest Technical Bulletin focused on the Selection of Boxes for Installing Electrical Accessories.
BEAMA is the UK trade association for manufacturers and providers of energy infrastructure technologies and systems of which Focus SB has been a member since 2021 when the company was invited to join and be front of centre of policy-making and decision-making for the future of electrical industry standards, alongside its peers.
The BEAMA organisation states: This bulletin is intended for contractors, installers, and specifiers providing guidance to support safe and compliant practice. Covering critical factors such conformity with current standards, the bulletin aims to help professionals make informed decisions when selecting boxes for switches, sockets, and other similar electrical accessories.
Focus SB's Managing Director, Gary Stevens comments: “I believe that to be taken seriously as a manufacturer of electrical accessories, then becoming an active member of the BEAMA association adds that credibility to any serious player in our industry.”
A close working relationship with BEAMA, which is a member of CECAPI (European Committee of Electrical Installation Equipment Manufacturers), saw Focus SB welcome the organisation's Director of Member Services & Head of Building Electrical Systems, Nick Hayler to its main factory at Napier Road as part of Make UK’s annual National Manufacturing Day campaign in September 2024.
The Technical Bulletin on the Selection of Boxes for Installing Electrical Accessories can be downloaded from BEAMA’s website.
