Help Britain export more: Answer the Made in Britain 2025 Exports Survey

We are inviting each of our members to take part in the 2025 Exports Survey, to support British manufacturers looking to take their products onto a global stage.

Around 70% of Made in Britain’s 2,200 members are exporting their UK-made goods across the world, and we want to drive further growth in this sector, improving outcomes for all our members and providing support for the wider British manufacturing sector.

The Exports Survey is a series of questions designed to help manufacturers seize greater opportunities to export their products and goods worldwide. We want to help you take advantage of the Made in Britain trademark to gain a competitive edge against global competitors, and this survey can assist in that mission.

The eleven questions within the survey help us develop a greater understanding of export habits, challenges and opportunities in overseas markets, and weigh up the general outlook for international growth within our membership.

Responses to the survey also help us offer more targeted support for British exporters, and ensure that Made in Britain’s International Trade Programme offers our members the most relevant content and connections, including UK government’s Department for Business and Trade teams.

“Your views may lead to real change”

John Pearce, CEO of Made in Britain (pictured), said: “A key element of the Made in Britain mission is to provide the best environment possible for our members to trade not just across the UK, but also in international markets. It is part of our commitment to help our members grow by connecting British manufacturing with the rest of the world.

“This survey will help us understand the nuances of exporting globally, recognise the obstacles manufacturers face and maximise the opportunities for successful exports, so any feedback our members can provide will greatly benefit our findings and future endeavours. We’ll also share our findings more widely, with members, the wider public and politicians, so that your views may lead to real change for your industry.”

The survey follows on from the success of our 2023 Exports Survey, which found that as many as 95% of UK manufacturers believed a product being identifiable as ‘Made in Britain’ helped boost sales in the majority of international countries.

The findings from the overall survey will be shared with all members of the Made in Britain network in the form of an exports report, published in advance of International Trade Week - which takes place from the 3rd-7th November.

Submissions for the survey close on Wednesday, 15th October, and it only takes five minutes to complete the eleven questions, so be sure to have your say by visiting the survey link here.
