hoTEN - 10th Anniversary of the hotun dry trap tundish
In 2025 RA Tech UK Ltd Celebrate their 10 Year Anniversary of the launch of their hotun dry trap tundish. It was back in 2015 that Russell Armstrong and his wife Ally Armstrong brought the revolutionary hotun dry trap tundish to market.
The product that has created a whole new method of boiler installation opportunities is recognised as the leading and best-known dry trap in the UK and has spawned a few other copies of this patented product. Of course, we see this as flattery as big companies would never copy a bad idea!
Not in dispute though, and due to its open sided and advanced design, hotun still retains its place in the market as being the ONLY fully diagnostic friendly, dry trap tundish (for PRV discharge). This open sided construction allows the homeowner or diagnosing engineer to easily see any residual water left in the tundish after the PRV has stopped dripping, which is an essential need for properly diagnosing PRV water loss due to over pressure (or temperature). Not only that, you can also feel inside the bowl of the tundish if you need to confirm this, which is what makes hotun unique.
Plus, RA Tech have had the foresight to develop the revolutionary, world’s first, in-tundish fully automatic and audible, (active), diagnostic fault indication for PRV discharges, with its thermistor sensing tip which can detect and alert the homeowner of any PRV discharge in up to 4 different ways depending on the temperature of the discharging water.
