- Does not require direct sunlight to charge: The solar panels have been designed with the northern European climate in mind. As a result they are capable of providing a charge to the motor in overcast conditions.
The 50Nm Solar motor is recommended for use in awnings up to 6m wide with a projection of 3.5m. The 50Nm is supplied as standard in our Concept & Aland awnings.

The Gaviota Solar App is available for download on the iOS App Store and the Google Play store. The app helps you to locate the best position for the solar panel during installation.
An Addition to the Solar Range
This motor joins the Solar motor with 20 Nm torque, which is designed for use with smaller awnings up to 4.5m width x 3m projection or 5m width x 2.5m projection, the desert drop arm awning, motorised Dutch canopies & our Nexus screens. The 20Nm motor launched in early 2024 & has the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
