Plant a tree scheme is blooming success

Mid West Displays have sent the latest batch of Plant A Tree Scheme certificates to customers who have purchased their Claralight LED lightpockets as the scheme continues to prove a success.

The Shrewsbury-based display specialist is partnering with The Future Forest Company to plant as tree for every Claralight™ order. They have put sustainability at the heart of our Claralight™ display range, with the use of recycled material, lower energy use and extended product lifecycle some of the features of the products. To reduce the impact of manufacturing further they decided the plant a tree for every order. Tree planting has been identified as a important way to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

Head of Sales at Mid West Displays said " We support The FFC's aim to remove CO2 from the atmosphere, restore biodiversity and fight climate change. Their Plant A Tree scheme aims to plant enough trees to remove 1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere by 2030. They plant native, broadleaf trees on their UK sites that also create thriving habitats for wildlife."

The scheme is aligned with the United Nations SDGs. FFC carry out regular audits to review and track the survival rate of our saplings, and they ensure any saplings that do not survive are replanted in the first 5 years of growth. They partner with a number of local UK nurseries to source saplings that are healthy and responsibly grown here in the UK.

Customer's receive an e-certificate complete with a unique photograph of your sapling and a What3Words location of their tree, in case they want to visit!
