THE Covid-19 pandemic raises new and heightened false advertising concerns in the field of antimicrobial and antiviral technology, writes Addmaster CEO Paul Morris.

Over the recent months we've seen a huge increase in exaggerated claims and misleading products as companies across the globe seek to capitalise on the widespread fear created by the coronavirus crisis, promising consumers a high level of protection from the virus that they simply cannot support with reliable evidence.

As someone who has been in the industry for over 20 years, these products stick out like a sore thumb. But what concerns us is that those with little knowledge of this area are an easy target for these companies and are at risk of falling into the trap of slick marketing which in fact has very little substance.
