The Autumn season will soon be approaching and keeping the kitchen warm for those all-important meals, which family and friends gather around to enjoy, is very much at the forefront of our minds. Having a reliable and trustworthy cooker with which to produce an anticipated meal together is as essential as the ingredients themselves.
It's this understanding and passion for cooking excellence that is just part of what has driven Graham Thornhill to design and produce his stunning portfolio of eco-conscious range cookers.
An engineer by trade, Graham started his business some 20 years ago and developed his own innovative technology to produce a patented system focussed on fuel costs and saving the environment. His system was so effective it met all the new European emissions requirements set 15 years later in Jan 2022.
British-made in the finest cast iron materials, and handcrafted to exceptional standards, the cookers are designed and made in Canterbury, Kent with 95% of parts being sourced within a 200 mile radius.
Graham is rightly proud of his achievements and comments "The cookers are as green as we can make them with a life expectancy of 40 plus years".
Continually striving for improvement, Thornhill’s latest newly-launched range, the MKII, comprises of three-oven and five-oven hybrid wood range cookers, featuring catalytic converter after-burners which ensure ultra-low emissions, zero carbon particulates and a staggering 90.2% efficiency.
Each will heat up from cold to 180 degrees in around 30 minutes and provide 3-6kW of heat into your room, remaining warm overnight to help heat your kitchen and ready to simply refuel in the morning. The ranges also showcase a 50-litre spacious oven capacity with individual temperatures for controllability, AGA cookware compatibility, a grill and large double hot plate topped with a choice of mirror or enamel lids in over 30 colours. The hybrid 5 oven wood range cooker also includes a double ceramic hob with two electric ovens.
Not only do they look beautiful and feature the latest clean-burn technology, but the new MKII can also cost as little as £200 a year to run!
Traditional stunning looks cleverly conceal 21st century technology for a true cooks' cooker!
