This single post unit incorporates eight activity zones related to a maritime theme and has 11 play activity elements.
The ‘Submarine’ section incorporates a porthole window, oxygen tank, gauges and sliders, a revolving propeller, steering wheel and hatch graphic. When you look through the porthole there are images of sea creatures on the adjacent panel.
The ‘Yacht’ section has a deck, with anchor and rudder graphics, a main sail with a racing number and an inset lifebelt. A spinnaker sail incorporates a compass and a morse code SOS. An ‘Information’ panel shows graphics of sea creatures at different depths and a ‘crab & tuna’ braille board.
With a total height of 1.375m the ‘Marine’ is designed to encourage role and social play while displaying some educational elements.
