Multimac, based near Birmingham, is redefining family travel with the world’s only multi-child car seat. Operations Director, Minty Macliver, daughter of the founder, explains how her father invented the four-seater seat to fit smaller children comfortably, after struggling to accommodate his own family of four in a standard vehicle.
Since gaining European approval in 2009, Multimac has exported about 40 per cent of its products to overseas markets, including Ireland, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, South Africa, and New Zealand. The company keeps manufacturing local, working with Midlands-based suppliers and trimmers, ensuring every seat is made in Britain.
Patented and unique, Multimac prioritises safety, quality, and community, with every seat proudly bearing the Made in Britain trademark.
Minty highlights the pride of working locally: “It’s nice to know that there is this community of people that are passionate about manufacturing in Britain, and really we should champion it as much as we can.”
