Product Description

The PATON 500 Leakage Tester is designed to allow an engineer to test the leakage rate of the cabin of larger vehicles such as vans and minibuses whilst still being able to test the smallest passenger vehicles. The PATON 500 Leakage Tester works by pressurizing and depressurizing the vehicle under test to a specified pressure, and measuring the air volume flow generated to produce a leakage rate, or equivalent body hole size.

The PATON 500 is the extended mid range leakage tester that has been designed to meet 95% of NVH leakage testing requirements. It is equipped with a fan that is capable of achieving 500 L/s of airflow, and static pressures in excess of ±2500 Pa. The PATON 500 is also a primary measuring device using a set of precision machined conical inlet nozzles to provide impressive accuracy across the entire flow range down to 1 L/s. The PATON 500 is available with Windows control, an air heater and a smoke machine as standard. This provides the user with the ability to not only quantify the vehicles’ ability to seal but also identify areas requiring further improvement. Both models are compatible with the optional attenuators. These provide a comfortable and safe working environment without the need for hearing protection, even at full flow.
