How UK manufacturers can supply to National Highways

As part of our commitment to supporting UK manufacturers, Made in Britain is collaborating with National Highways, one of the UK’s largest public sector buyers, with an annual spend of £5.13 billion in 2024–25. National Highways has a strong commitment to engaging with SMEs, and we are working together to ensure more UK manufacturers have the opportunity to connect with their procurement needs.

Made in Britain also plans to host an online session with National Highways exclusively for MiB members in early 2026. This will give the growing 2,200+ members the chance to hear directly from the National Highways team about supply chain opportunities and how best to engage. Members interested in attending can contact trade@madeinbritain.org now to register their interest.

Before then, we encourage Made in Britain companies to take part in the next National Highways Meet the Buyer event, taking place in September:

Date: 24 September 2025, 10am–2pm
Location: Crown Plaza Plymouth, Armada Way, Plymouth, Devon, PL1 2HJ

This event will give UK SMEs the chance to:

  • Hear a keynote from Paul Rodgers, Department for Transport Group Commercial Director and Government Commercial Function Leadership Group SME sponsor.
  • Network with senior representatives from the Department for Transport, HS2 Ltd, Network Rail, National Highways and more.
  • Learn from key suppliers about how to become a subcontractor in the supply chain.
  • Meet with the Crown Commercial Service to understand SME friendly frameworks and how to enrol.

To register, please complete this short form.
