Chelsom is a 75-year-old, third-generation family business which designs and manufactures high quality decorative lighting for the international hotel, marine and residential industries. Chelsom works with the very best interior designers in the world supplying both standard and custom lighting to the most luxurious hospitality and marine brands, completing prestigious projects in more than 70 countries around the world. Chelsom’s international reputation saw the company awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade for the second time in 3 years in recognition of outstanding export achievements in addition to securing a Red Dot award for Product Design for the state of the art reading light, LED EYE.

Chelsom have decades of experience in manufacturing high-quality decorative lighting, blending lean and practical production techniques to create products for both their standard in-house collections as well as bespoke items. The engineering and production teams in UK and around the world focus heavily on quality management and their skills and experience allow the company to deliver lighting products using a variety of materials and finishes for all applications and budgets. 

The company currently works with a global manufacturing supply chain in Asia, Europe and locally in the UK.  A large proportion of  bespoke products created are manufactured in the UK. The team are currently finalising ranges for the  upcoming collection which is set to launch in May 2023 and a significant number of standard products will be made in UK.

Key clients include major hotel operators such as Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Starwood, Hilton, Accor, Marriott and on the marine side Virgin Voyages, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Crystal Cruises and Carnival Cruise Line with exports now accounting for around 40% of all sales.
