The Jointine team is a unique SME in the UK, exporting a niche product worldwide for almost 100 years.

We manufacture and export gasket paper, a material used extensively across the worldwide automotive sector.  Our customers take the paper in roll format, then cut it into shapes called gaskets – these are used form a seal between connected parts of the axle, oil, fuel and water pumps and help prevent any leakage.  If your car has been for a service or repair, the chances are that a piece of our paper will be in there now!

We’re passionate about using raw materials sourced from sustainable and ethical suppliers.  And because the paper is ultimately biodegradable, we consider ourselves a ‘healthy’ contributor to the automotive supply chain. We impregnate paper with glue and glycerine and dry it in special manner to make it resistant to fluids. Few other materials can compete on cost and performance at low temperatures
