Smiths Sectional Buildings

Smiths Sectional Buildings are specialists in the manufacture of high quality poultry and animal housing. We supply Chicken coops, Free Range Chicken Houses, Hen Houses with runs, Goat Housing, Dog Kennels, Mobile Field Shelters and Pony and Horse Stables throughout the UK. We also supply Garden Buildings to our local customers in Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire.

British values and customer service are at the heart of what we do. In 2003 we had been looking to diversify our farming business to make use of our barns and we saw Smiths Sectional Buildings listed for sale, by Mr Smith, who was looking to retire. He had founded the business in 1990 making garden sheds, which he gradually expanded, and by the time we took over in 2004 he was making a whole range of chicken and animal housing, many of which we still make today.

The business was originally based in Nottingham and we commuted there for 18 months to manage the business whilst we converted our cattle buildings into workshops in Shropshire. We are currently building a whole new facility on our farm near Market Drayton for our manufacturing team with a new office and warehousing to expand the business. 

All the timber we use is sustainably sourced and we make each building with an eye for detail and craftmanship. Not only do we make the buildings but our team also deliver most of the buildings and offer an assembly service to build them on site. Our client base is wide and varied from pet chicken keepers to smallholders, farmers, schools, zoos and colleges, not to mention a few famous faces that we've come across over the years. With over 40% of our business coming from recommendations and returning customers it speaks volumes for the quality of our products and our excellent customer service.
