Herschel Infrared, the UK’s longest established infrared heating provider, has expanded its range of bespoke heaters for the Heritage sector.
Following the launch of the highly popular UK made Herschel Halo chandelier heater, Herschel has designed and manufactured two more innovative heaters, made specifically for use in Heritage buildings and places of worship; the Halo Horizon and Under Pew Heater.
In the transition to Net Zero, the heating of Heritage buildings is one of the biggest challenges. Throughout the winters of 2022 and 2023, the Herschel Halo proved to be a game-changer in heating heritage buildings in terms of reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions. The bespoke Halo heater seamlessly fits the heritage aesthetic, can be personalised to match any interior, and can provide lighting as well as heating. This innovative solution has been highly popular, with the heater being featured on the Fully Charged Show, as well as numerous other media coverage.
Feedback from the Halo has been fantastic.
“The feeling of warmth in the church is simply marvellous. If you look at the Halo heaters themselves, they seem to look as if they’ve been here forever. People come into the church and they literally go ‘wow’, they look fantastic, they love the actual warmth”
“The old system used to take us four or five days to heat the church to 16 or 17°C, and the boiler worked for 24 hours a day for those 4 or 5 days until we reached this temperature. All those issues to do with managing the heating system have now gone. We literally walk into the church and half an hour before the service we flick the switch and on come the heaters, and within half an hour every part of the church is registering 17 or 18°C which is excellent.” – Andrew Bellamy, Churchwarden of St Michael’s Church, Aynho.
Herschel Infrared is proud to introduce their latest heating innovations for the Heritage sector, the Halo Horizon and Under Pew Heaters. The Halo Horizon features all the beautiful aesthetics and customisations that the Halo offers from a wall-mountable option. The Halo Horizon is available in 2600 – 3200W and can be mounted both horizontally or vertically, making them the perfect discreet solution for side aisles, chancels and lower-ceilinged spaces.
The Under Pew heaters provide an additional solution for heating church pews. Herschel’s innovative Under Pew Heaters use infrared radiant heat technology, which directly warms all surfaces and objects, creating a warm “bubble” of gentle localised heat.
After the launch of Herschel’s UK Production Facility in 2022, Herschel have been working hard to not only revolutionise how we heat churches and heritage buildings, but also how we heat domestic and commercial buildings.
