Responsible manufacturing for the 1.5°c future

A guest article on responsible manufacturing by Made in Britain Chairman, Chris Harrop OBE (pictured) has been featured in Manufacturing Outlook in its ‘Expert Eye’ section.

Experts, including the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), predict that a 1.5°C temperature increase will happen in the early 2030s. Manufacturers have a pivotal role to play, innovating to produce alternative products with lower product carbon footprints to minimise environmental impact.

Prof. Harrop, OBE, says: "Rather than getting hung up on the noise around the many buzzwords and labels, manufacturers should focus on pragmatic actions that align with the broader goals of decarbonisation, adaptation, and progress."
