No amount of recycling can fix the systemic problems inherent in the take-make-waste linear traditional bed/mattress industry. Ammique is a 21st century mattress-free sleep system and a complete bed designed and engineered to function for a lifetime and beyond. As a circular trailblazing business and a pioneering sleep brand our aim is to end the mass production and reckless disposal of millions of metric tons of bulky beds and end-of-life mattresses worldwide.
Ammique is a circular and innovative business with transformative, durable, high utility, lifelong and reusable sleep products. Using design and systems thinking to inform our design practices and processes throughout, sustainability is embedded into our core purpose. Our strategies and activities can be measured against our sustainability goals driving the right actions across our organization and that of our value chain.
This is the beginning of a new industry. Having developed our products from concept by selecting reprocessed stock for over 90% of our plastic components and by selecting and using materials in the most efficient and sustainable way, we plan to continue to work in partnership with local suppliers and distributors minimizing the impact on to the environment.
If we have learned nothing else from the pandemic and the recent COP26 talks, we now know that our current system of globalization is broken and will destroy us and our planet unless we transform it.

By continuing to invest in the design, manufacture and supply of great products and services and in the design and creation of processes that deliver those products and services to the end user in the most economically, ecologically, and ethically viable way.
By distributing products in the country where they are made – enabling fair enterprises, creating well paid jobs, enriching lives, minimizing waste, and reducing carbon emissions.
By ensuring that each person involved in every process can benefit in a way that is commensurate with his or her skill set and in line with his or her endeavor.
By structuring a rewards system that ensures a fair flow of earnings to free up the free flow of talent – bottom up not top down – with an agreed pre-set and limited pay differential between the highest and lowest paid employee throughout the organization
By creating a culture and a transparent, balanced, and equitable system of valuing and rewarding human industry, creativity, and productivity.
Quality products cost more to make especially if they are designed, made and accounted for to include the ethical and ecological costs incurred at each stage of their development. To manage scaling up nationally and internationally our think global / act local strategy aims to decarbonize international trade and to build in social and economic value throughout the supply chain.
To scale up we plan to share prosperity through collaboration and mutual benefit partnerships by making and distributing our products locally in partnership via Joint Ventures (JV) worldwide.
By managing growth in the most economically, ethically, and ecologically sustainable way, we can provide purposeful jobs and shared prosperity, and by reducing our exposure to costly supply chain disruptions and resource price volatility, our circular business model has resilience and profitability built in.
The way we chase higher and higher GDP is not feasible. It is fueled by consumption and continues to strip our planet’s resources faster than our planet can replenish them.
It is unsustainable and self-destructive, and we know it. Why choose to stay on this treadmill of consumption and exponential growth?
We can choose to live in a way that preserves us and our planet by distributing the earth’s resources to ensure that everyone’s needs are met.
