Acorn Stairlifts

Acorn, based at Steeton, West Yorkshire, has been designing, making, selling and installing stairlifts for more than 20 years. The company was started by the founder selling second hand stairlifts and has developed into a manufacturer building more than 50,000 of its own stairlifts a year – all from its UK factories in West Yorkshire and in Scotland.

Our UK factories manufacture over one million components each year, and during the last 5 years, we have invested more than £8m in new plant and machinery.

The company is now a multinational business with a turnover of £135m.
