4th Generation of Pailor joins the team

Introducing the fourth generation of Pailor into the family business!

We are delighted that my son Thomas has officially joined @JJ Hardy & Sons. 17-year-old Thomas, the namesake of his great grandfather who purchased the business back in 1938 from the Hardy family, has joined as our newest machining apprentice.

The apprenticeship sees him study CNC machining one day a week at @Middlesbrough College’s Middlehaven campus, while also keeping the family tradition going. Thomas said: “I’ve always wanted to follow in the footsteps of my dad and grandad by joining the family business, so I was delighted when I was offered the chance to do an apprenticeship with Middlesbrough College."

“Growing up in and around the business, I knew a little bit about how it all worked, however the apprenticeship has given me the chance to learn as I earn, while getting the qualifications I need to be certified. I’ve really enjoyed it and am delighted with how it is going so far.”

Mark Hall from Middlesbrough College joined us last week to present Thomas with his apprentice pack which will give him everything he needs to get his journey into engineering off to the best possible start.

Welcome to the team, Thomas! ⚙️
