Dudley Associates has over 30 years’ of experience, We can meet all of your precision mould tooling and plastic injection moulding needs. We provide an all-encompassing service that satisfies all requirements:
Our Design team can draw upon many year’s experience from the multiple disciplines that are required to develop a successfully moulded product. Couple this with the use of the latest 3D CAD & mould flow analysis software and your original design can be refined for optimum processing and prototyping resulting in the ideal combination of material, mould, manpower, and machine for efficient and cost-effective production.
We have worked on a large number of successful high profile design projects and our clients include some of the best product design companies in the UK as well as a number of universities. We have worked on design projects as varied as Mercedes, ING F1, NatWest and Motorhead as well as many smaller firms or individuals who wanted to develop a new product!
Rapid prototyping is usually called upon when a product needs to be tried and tested before heading to market; Whatever your requirements, you can rely on our expert rapid prototyping team to put together a solution that fits your unique situation.
Our in-house Toolroom have the capacity to build every conceivable type of tool from prototype to full-blown hot runner multi-cavity tooling capable of producing sample quantities to millions of parts.
Over the years we have been involved in manufacturing tools with unscrewing mechanisms, cams, ‘up & aways’ and side actions for clients in sectors such as Industrial, Aerospace, Automotive, Electrical and Medical. Tooling Choices: -
Aluminium Tools for parts up to 30,000 although some of our aluminium tools have made over 100,000 parts.
Whilst a little more costly, steel tools will be suited to higher volume production. Whilst P20 tooling will be good for hundreds of thousands of impressions, hardened steel will be capable of producing in excess of a million parts.
Our new Roder’s RXP 500 and RXP 801 machining centres with RCM Automation have allowed us more flexibility on timing bringing down lead times on mould tools
At Dudley Associates we manufacture a very wide range of both development and production injection moulded parts and work daily with a broad range of ‘high specification’ engineering and commercial polymers.
The Injection moulding process has many benefits and allows products to be produced in complex and intricate detail that would otherwise be too costly or difficult to make, with low labour cost and high repeatable tolerance Dudley’s Moulding facility currently comprises the very latest in digitally controlled machines from 35 to 300 tonnes. Along with extra capabilities to accommodate larger projects that would usually require a press size of up to 1,500 tonnes!
Our mould shop and toolroom are side by side for optimal workflow and control, and we can readily operate 24hr working for larger production runs.
If you need a responsive, flexible and technically advanced supplier of plastic injection mouldings, we can provide the speed of service and quality you require.
We are also experts when it comes to Overmoulding, want to find out more on this? Why not give us a call or visit the page now: Overmoulding | Dudley Associates
Assembly and Packaging for Your Injection Moulded Parts:
So your product has now come off our conveyor belts so what’s next?
Here at Dudley Associates, we have the capability to add additional components, print on, metallise, assemble and package your product to complete the manufacture of your parts.
At this point we can put your completed parts onto our shelves for storage ready for call off when you need them.
We even have the capability to source your bespoke packaging and place your parts in this ready to be put out to market.
We also offer a large range of secondary services, please see a few examples below:
Drilling & Tapping
This is the process of adding holes and/or threads to reduce the complexity of the toolmaking process. It’s more commonly used in low volume moulding.
Ultrasonic Welding
Ultrasonic welding is used to join complex parts together without needing to use adhesives or other potentially aesthetically-displeasing methods.
Inserting
Some injection moulding projects require the insertion of items into pre-moulded parts. These inserts are usually made out of brass or steel but can consist of other materials.
Printing
We can cater for all your printing and payment requirements. This includes PAD and screen printing, while we also offer RF Shielding if needed.
Packaging
We offer a bespoke packaging service to finish off your project to a high standard. We can either source your packaging ourselves or use what you have provided.
CNC Machining
Dudley Associates provide a wide range of CNC machining services – both manual and machine operated. Examples of our products include shop facings.
We really are a one stop shop, that are willing to help with any requirements you may have; We want you to be able to concentrate on what you are good at and leave the rest to us.
