Advanced Materials Unveils Energy-Efficient new machinery to produce bespoke Silicone Rubber extrusions 35% faster

Advanced Materials are pleased to announce the latest addition to our factory – a new state-of-the-art Hotbox (Hot Air Tunnel) used in the manufacture of our silicone rubber extrusions.

Details about the Machinery;

🔧 What It Is: This Hotbox is an advanced hot air tunnel that delivers a consistent initial cure to our silicone rubber extrusions, an essential step in the manufacture of the final product. This one has been designed as a major upgrade to some of our more dated hotboxes in the factory

⚙️ Capabilities: This new machine is designed with full temperature control for optimised curing and an energy-efficient operation that not only enhances productivity but also reduces our electricity consumption.

We are now able to produce extrusions on line 8 up to 35% faster, and with further ongoing innovations aimed at increasing this to up to 50% faster.

🌲 Impact on Environment: The system uses 56% less energy to produce extruded items and is also equipped with auto power-off functions to minimise energy consumption when not in use.

📈 Impact on Production: By integrating this Hotbox into our manufacturing process, we are increasing our production capacity, resulting in repeatable and reliable lead times for our customers.

🔮 Looking Forward: This investment positions us well for future growth, allowing us to take on more long-run projects, the ability to run +35-50% faster means that larger orders will not inhibit factory operations.
