Angel Guard today announces that they have been named Scotland’s Clinical Washbasin Company of the Year at the 2021/22 Prestige Awards. The Scotland Prestige Guide is read by more than 600,000 people, with nominees picked from reader suggestions. The nominations are then reviewed by Prestige’s panel of judges, taking great consideration over many facets of each business, marking the excellence of their service, quality of the product and innovation in their field among many other qualities. Angel Guard was chosen for its “personal touch, consistency of reviews and community feel”, with the judges specifically noticing the positive difference the company is making, especially during the turbulent times the world is going through.
“We are delighted to receive this recognition and award, but the lives the Angel Guard units will save is the highest accolade our company could ever ask for.” says Elaine Waggott, the company’s Operations Director, “Thank you to Prestige Awards for giving everyone a happy boost during such difficult times for businesses all around the UK”
Angel Guard also recognises that this achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the tremendous effort and success of the DWP’s ingenious Kickstart scheme, which allows young workers aged 16-24 to gain valuable skills and experience, vital to younger workers entering the world of work. Many of these workers are engaged in the essential manufacturing of the units, fabricating the most important parts of Angel Guard’s state-of-the-art clinical washbasins.
While Angel Guard is thrilled to be accepting this award, they can’t rest just yet, as the company is looking onwards and upwards, having been nominated as finalists for the Building Controls Industry Association Awards, in the Innovation of the Year: Products category. The awards will be held in September.
Angel Guard is passionate about making a positive step change in the fight against Healthcare Acquired Infections (HCAIs), Multi Drug Resistant Bacteria and improving NHS waiting times and patient outcomes. It aims to do this by introducing new, cutting edge washbasins with AI technology, equipped to deal with all things bacterial, from cutting down on the spread of pathogens through splashing, but also improving hand-wash compliance through its unique monitoring system and WHO instructional videos, displayed on their Michael and Gabriel units. Angel Guard hopes to lessen the load for the NHS by helping to free up not only beds, but also time and money for healthcare environments. Angel Guard is also an official Made in Britain company.
