Apprenticeships up for Grabs at Crabb Engineering

Over the past few years, too many manufacturing industries have seen a growing skills shortage.  In Wales and across the United Kingdom, the skilled but ageing workforce has not been replenished and we find ourselves needing to recruit more staff than are available in the existing talent pool.

“One way that we are grabbing the bull by the horns, is our ambitious plan to fill the skills-gap with fresh, young and enthusiastic apprentices”, says Production Director – Josh Fox.

“We already have 3 apprentices at Crabb, and we are planning to run a further 3 to 4 apprenticeships from this year/next year, with the help of Coleg Cambria and Work Experience Placements.”

Crabb Engineering is experiencing its busiest period of business since the company was founded in 1994.  With quality at the forefront of everything they do, they see a bright future for the local candidates who join them, and for the company in the long-term.
