THE Regulatory Excellence Awards 2022 from the Office for Product Safety and Standards are now open and entries are being encouraged from any individual, team or organisation that has made a significant contribution to 'making regulation work'.
There are two categories this year: Regulatory Excellence and Regulatory Excellence Officer. The criteria are as follows:
Regulatory Excellence
This broad category is open to any team or organisation – in business, local or central government or any other sector – that has made a significant contribution to making regulation work for the protection of people or places, that has supported economic recovery or has worked collaboratively in the delivery of regulation.
Typically, nominated work will come from the areas of legal metrology, product safety, construction products, Better Business for All or Primary Authority.
Regulatory Excellence Officer
This category is open to individuals in business or regulatory organisations who have made an outstanding contribution in the regulatory field. This might be through innovative practice, organisational skill, or determination. Entries can come from a broad range of activities and include anyone working in technical and scientific fields (including metrology and hallmarking) who has developed novel or technical solutions contributing to protecting consumers and supporting business.
