Hague have invested into the United Nations Framework Convention On Climate Change Project under CDM Project 2535: CUIDEMOS Mexico (Campana De Uso Intelegente De Energia Mexico) – Smart Use of Energy Mexico, to retire Carbon Credits which offsets our Carbon Footprint for 2021 and then retired for years 2022 through 2025.
In order to make a positive impact on the environment, in 2021, Hague Fasteners also started a tree planting project, the “Hague Fasteners Forest”.
Planting just 200 trees each year will help improve our impact on the environment while supporting climate action. Each tree we plant sequesters an estimated 0.3 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide over its growth life – meaning that our target of 200 per year will eventually result in 60 tonnes of CO2 being absorbed from the atmosphere in the future.
Hague Fasteners are partnered with (more:trees) who work with tree planting partners across the world, supporting local communities to restore healthy forests and reduce extreme poverty.
We are target and invest in Tree Planting Projects in Madagascar, Kenya and Haiti with initiatives ranging from Conservation, Water channelling, supporting Communities and Wildlife whilst further improving food security and supply. Our Hague Fasteners Forest not only Nourishes our planet, it helps to reduce extreme poverty in some of the world’s poorest communities. We help support biodiversity whilst reversing de-forestation.
