Clements Engineering has worked with Mapso Marine Propulsion & Supply( Marine Division ) , an Egyptian Company working in the marine industry for many years, supplying stern gear to a variety of projects. MAPSO delivers a wide range of vessels that are produced in Egypt and the latest of these to be launched is a pair of 14m MiniTugs.
Clements supplied a full stern gear package for these which included 2 pairs of 49” 4 blade propellers, as well as propeller shafts, shaft seals and stern tubes.
Following the installation of the stern gear package, the initial boat data from the sea trials is looking great with speeds in excess of 12 knots and a bollard pull over 8 tonnes.
