London-based bike storage company and Made in Britain Campaign member, Cycloc, is proud to be selected as part of the Cycle Revolution exhibition taking place at the Design Museum, London. This event is extra special as it marks the last exhibition to be held at the Design Museum’s riverside location on Shad Thames, before it moves location to West Kensington in 2016.
The Cycle Revolution exhibition will be staged from 18th November to 30th June 2016 and will highlight the skilled people and companies that make contemporary cycling what it is today.
Cycloc’s class-defining bike storage products will be used throughout the ‘Future’ section of the show. Founded in 2006, Cycloc has built a name as the global leader for stylish bike storage solutions, and is recognised as having created this product sector with the launch of the SOLO in 2006. Working from its design studio in Dalston, all Cycloc products are manufactured in the UK. With a range of smart, simple and stylish wall mounted bike storage solutions, Cycloc has helped cyclists across London, and the world overcome the friction of living with bikes and reclaim valuable floor space.
Cycloc will be alongside the biggest names in cycling, from the finest manufacturers including Pinarello and Brompton; high-end kit and accessories from Rapha, Vulpine and others; personal pieces belonging to celebrity cyclists including Sir Chris Hoy and Sir Paul Smith; as well as specially-commissioned film and photography to tell the powerful, personal and sometimes remarkable stories of cycling today.
A statement from the Design Museum notes: “Growing in popularity at a pace not seen since the Second World War, cycling is a passion, and for many a part of their identity – be it as a stylish way to get from A to B or as a fiercely competitive sport.”
Founded by product designer, and bike enthusiast Andrew Lang after he struggled to store his bikes in his London flat. Cycloc has now grown to a family of five product lines, available in seven colours, with a strong retail and distribution network worldwide. To meet the demands of the US market Cycloc has also opened a warehouse facility in Texas.
During the duration of the exhibition Cycloc will mark its 10th Anniversary, so involvement in the show is a fitting way to celebrate.
