DIT calls for input to planned free trade deal with India

WITH the UK now able to negotiate its own free trade deal with India, the Department for International Trade (DIT) is opening a consultation to allow manufacturers to express their views.

All the information is available on the Gov.uk website, but basically, the DIT is reaching out to all interested parties to find out what they think about the UK’s current trading arrangements with India and where they think the DIT could make changes or improvements.

If member companies of Made in Britain have business in India, or are considering trading there, now is the time to get involved and feedback thoughts and opinions to the government. The description of the consultation can be seen here, together with downloadable documents: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/trade-with-india-call-for-input

When you are up to speed on what’s required, the start of the survey is here: https://ditresearch.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5jZl7gG1omIEtdI

The consultation closes on 31 August 2021.

Made in Britain is ramping up its work on international trade through its advisor George Middleton and you can contact George for further information via the email address trade@madeinbritain.org.
