Doncaster Cables are the largest British owned general wiring manufacturer in the UK. We have been in this business since 1984 and have grown significantly over the years. We undertake the whole process of cable manufacturing from our site in Bentley, Doncaster. From copper wire drawing and extrusion to PVC manufacturing and product safety testing, we have dedicated and talented team here who are committed to quality and safety first.
Having these processes in-house allows us to manufacture an impressive range of products, whilst meeting British, European, and international standards. Our Quality Management System (QMS) is compliant with BS ISO 9001:2008 and is regularly audited by third party approval bodies such as BASEC and LPCB. Proof of our commitment to improvement is that we have maintained these accreditations continuously for over 24 years.
We have added the Made In Britain logo to the reels for our premium fire safety cable, FireSure. In time, we will add the logo to the reels for all of our products that we make on site. We want to utilise the benefits that having the MIB designation affords our business. Our cables are exported all over the world, including the Middle East, India, and South Africa.
We aren’t just sitting back and letting the world change without us, we have been pro-active in responding to trends. For example, we have collaborated with American giant Tesla to provide a cable for use in their Powerwall Connect system.
We value British manufacturing and believe that products marked with Made In Britain are imbued with extra value. Britain has a proud history of world-class and manufacturing and innovation, and we are delighted to add to this legacy and reputation. We believe that by fully embracing the Made In Britain resources, we can achieve more than without.
