Supporting our local football team has never meant so much till now.
Our company has been an official partner of Doncaster Rovers for a few years and we feel lucky to be part of such a vibrant community.
Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, it has become very apparent that visiting the Rovers stadium to enjoy a game of football with a pukka pie and a beverage is not possible at the moment.
Annually, Doncaster Rovers organizes an official photo shoot with their partners.
Usually, this event is one of those you look forward to. An afternoon of good food, networking and laughter.
This year, Head of Commercial Jon Warburton was very happy to announce that the official sponsors would be taking part in the annual team photos, but the event would have a social distancing based twist.
My colleagues Crystal and Olivia attended the event with myself. We brought customized medical grade masks and made sure we were all wearing them.
The photoshoot took place outside, in the cold English rain.
Nevertheless, when the players arrived, they organized themselves into seated positions which conformed to the social distancing guidelines.
When the photographer finally called us to the stand, my colleagues and I were placed into seats in front of the players.
We were looking rather professional and classy. I must say - we were looking good.
Luckily, the mood had picked up. Myself, my colleagues and the players were all giggling. The whole stadium felt like it was alive again.
We were all happy to be there. In that short moment of giggles and laughter we were reminded of all the good times - times that are yet to come.
