The Kemet ultrasonic cleaning fluid range is designed to offer efficient, straightforward, and compliant solutions for the cleaning industry. This range was developed through the collaboration of various departments within the company, including Research and Development, Production/Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment, and Purchasing. They understood the new challenges faced by the medical industry and worked to find a solution that meets the conflicting requirements of efficiency, availability, cost control, and regulatory compliance.
Kemet International is the UK distributor for NGL Nordic A/S, a company that provides more than 300 high-performance cleaning formulations to address most cleaning challenges. The NGL approach is informed by an in-depth knowledge of materials and an anticipation of process and material evolution, such as additive manufacturing or passivation following laser marking. By working closely with other players in the production chain, such as equipment manufacturers, consultants, laboratories, and manufacturers of consumables, NGL is able to develop innovative new solutions.
NGL is committed to ensuring the highest quality standards and adheres to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 quality management standards. The production process is subject to multiple control steps to guarantee the best results for their customers.
In a Medical Device cleaning process, preventing bacterial growth, especially in demineralised water rinses, can be a challenge. Water flows through sections that are difficult to access, such as bends, pipes, and pumps, where the presence of microorganisms is difficult to measure and control. Without proper water treatment, biofilm can develop and proliferate all the way to the rinse tanks. To prevent this, appropriate pre-treatment of the water is essential, even if the water is heated to 70°C and constantly circulated. An excellent example showcasing this configuration involves a manufacturer specialising in medical implants and instruments. They have effectively incorporated a pre-treatment solution for the final rinse of medical devices before their introduction into the cleanroom.
