Genuit Group and its operating companies achieve Supply Chain Sustainability School silver status

Genuit Group and its subsidiary businesses, including Manthorpe Building Products, have been awarded Silver status by the Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS).

This Silver status recognises the commitment to building sustainability and ESG skills and knowledge across Genuit Group and its subsidiaries like Manthorpe. The Supply Chain Sustainability School is a free online platform that provides training and learning content aiming to 'inspire and enable' the built environment sector to implement positive change. Topics can range from energy and carbon reduction, waste and resource efficiency, sustainable procurement, and social value.

To achieve the Silver level, Genuit Group had to:

·         Complete a re-assessment in the past 12 months

·         Use at least five resources (or attend training activities or events) in the last 6 months

Dylan Stoppard, Sustainability Manager at Genuit, explains: "This membership level shows we've demonstrated an increase in sustainability competence and actively shared knowledge and experience across our teams and supply chains." Members are required to complete an initial assessment to benchmark knowledge and identify improvement areas, then receive customised learning resources.

"Providing sustainability training for all our teams is crucial," comments Richard Hallam, HQSE Manager at Manthorpe. "The benefits extend beyond just manufacturers to stakeholders across the construction value chain like merchants and end users."

This Silver recognition highlights Genuit Group's commitment to building a sustainable future.
