Going for Gold. Wrights Plastics completes Birmingham22 project

Made in Britain member Wrights Plastics is located close to where many of the Birmingham22 Commonwealth Games events took place so they were pleased to benefit from the hugely successful event courtesy of a project for global events brand CSM Live.

CSM Live work globally with sporting events rights holders to help brands create new revenue streams.

The West Bromwich-based POS display specialist's second project saw them supply a series of stylish and bright table stands that were seen at hospitality venues across at the Games. The stands – printed in a range of colours and featuring Birmingham22 and sponsor logos – measured 23cm tall on 140mm x 160mm bases.

Wrights Plastics were recommended to CSM Live by Cannon, Birmingham22’s Official Imaging Supporter. As a longstanding customer of theirs, they were confident not only could Wrights deliver the high-quality true colour print required by CSM Live for the stands, but we were also able to manage all the production processes under one roof – lowering the footprint & ensuring one point of contact.

MD Mike Wright said "It is always great when local businesses benefit from the economic opportunity of such large scale events - although ironically it took a global brand to bring this work locally! The project demonstrated some of core strengths - high-quality large format printing, CNC routing services, and hand-finishing from expert teams. Keeping every aspect of the project inhouse saved time and reduced carbon footprint, and our investment in latest printers and CNC lowered energy costs and minimised material waste."
