THE world would like to read your stories of women in engineering and Made in Britain can make that possible. International Women in Engineering Day is 23 June and between now and then we would like members to post stories about women in engineering at their companies on the Made in Britain website.
Posting news stories improves member profile ranking and can move your business up internet search results. Selected news stories are broadcast on our social media accounts, too.
Posting your own news is very easy. Login to the Members' Area and click on the Public Profile link on the right. The button My News Editor will get you started, then click Post New Article. The rest of the process is fairly self-explanatory.
It might help to write the article in a text editor first, so you have a copy on your own computer should something go wrong! Follow the on-screen guidance about image sizes. Publishing images of different sizes and shapes can result in them being distorted or out of alignment.
The ninth annual International Women in Engineering Day is on 23 June 2022 and gives women engineers around the world a profile when they are still hugely under-represented in their professions. According to the Women’s Engineering Society, 16.5 per cent of engineers are women. As the only platform of its kind, #INWED plays a vital role in encouraging more young women and girls to take up engineering careers. Find out more at inwed.org.uk/about/
If you are a woman engineer with a story to tell, tell the world through Made in Britain. We want to hear from, or about, women apprentices, women designers, women developers, women production engineers, software engineers, civil engineers, transport engineers and system engineers. Women in engineering – tell us about them.
