At InstallerSHOW 2025, there was one stand that got everybody talking: Danfoss’ iconic DeLorean-themed display. Featuring a stunning DeLorean car, a retro diner, and an interactive time tunnel, the exhibition stand was an exciting fusion of nostalgia and innovation, capturing the attention of hundreds of visitors - and it proved to be their most successful exhibition stand ever.
Where innovation met nostalgia
Gareth Ash, Danfoss’ marketing manager, came to Motive Exhibitions with a big idea – to create an immersive experience visitors would remember long after the event had finished. The Motive team ran with this idea, coming up with a time-travelling journey that bridged the gap between past and future, that combined both the history and innovative ethos of the Danfoss brand.
The DeLorean car was the centrepiece, a crowd-pleasing and nostalgic nod to the 1985 classic Back to the Future. To make it fully immersive, the Motive team were inspired by 60s Americana to build a retro diner complete with a milkshake bar and arcade games – an entertaining space where visitors could relax, play, and chat. And it definitely got everybody talking!
An interactive time tunnel made sure the fun also came with a purpose. Visitors could step through a visual journey to learn all about the Danfoss story, with creative content like TRV-tok videos (a fun play on TikTok) and vintage ads that showcased the evolution of the brand over the years. It was a unique blend of history, creativity, and new technology.

An exhibition stand that delivered outstanding results
The results were extraordinary. Danfoss reported the highest number of solid leads from a show, an impressive amount of brand exposure, and an overall success that far exceeded their expectations. And the impact went beyond the exhibition stand itself. The InstallerSHOW organisers featured the stand in their own promotional materials, describing it as one of the event’s biggest highlights.
