UK manufacturer, Summerbridge, was selected to supply kitchens for the new IconInc Gravity, luxury student accommodation development in Lincoln
IconInc, a brand of The Parklane Group, opened their first student development, The Edge in Leeds, in 2015. They specialise in creating high-end luxury accommodation for student living and have recently been recognised and awarded the Best Student Accommodation Provider 2020 in the UK.
Gravity, their latest Lincoln based development, is the companies 4th IconInc project and joins a fast growing portfolio of student houses, high rise accommodation and an award winning aparthotel brand, Roomzzz. Gravity comprises of seven different types of self contained apartments from Neo offering 15 sq metres of living space up to Grande Duplexes, split level apartments over two levels with around 40 sq metres of floor space to their fabulous penthouse apartment – all featuring a Summerbridge kitchen.
It’s the extra services that set IconInc apart from other student accommodation, the building offers an on-site gym, sauna/steam room, different themed lounges, several mega kitchen areas, study rooms, a pantry, wellness suite, games room and a private cinema.
Summerbridge was selected by The Parklane Group, to design and supply their British-made kitchen cabinets, worktops, splashbacks, appliances, sinks and taps for the mega kitchen areas and each self-contained apartment kitchen. The chosen kitchens were from the Summerbridge Urban range, with doors in an on trend Cashmere finish. Solid surface glacier white worktops were installed in the communal kitchens and in the apartments, hard wearing laminate worktops were specified in Anthracite metal rock in a slimline 25mm thickness, giving the same contemporary look as a solid surface top.
“It’s great to see our products showcased in such a stylish setting.” Said Summerbridge Sales Director, Mark Newton. “This is the first project we have worked on with The Parklane Group, a prestigious developer whose prominent brands we are delighted to be associated with. Let’s hope that it is the first of many.”
Mark Ditchburn, who is Head of Design and Projects for The Parklane Group adds, “We are keen to support British manufacturers and Summerbridge has proved the case for local supply. They are proactive in their support, flexible and provide a timely service. Their kitchens look great and they made my life easier on this project, it’s been a great association.”
