An innovative polling booth has been voted a success by buyers. Sales across the UK and Europe has seen the booths used in everything from General Elections to launch events.
The easy assemble flat pack booth was developed by Wrights Plastics during Covid when voter confidence ahead of upcoming local elections was low. The booth was designed primarily for easy sanitising and cleaning, but its design also offered other benefits. Its two part construction meant it could be stored flat packed and reassembled in minutes. The simple design also meant costs were lower than for traditional booths, and by creating four voting compartments polling station space was maximised and often fewer booths were needed whilst voter flow was enhanced. If social distancing was required, just one of the compartments could be used.
Made from easy-to-sanitise white foam PVC it is constructed from two panels that are simply locked into place by the one-piece shelf that provides a sturdy surface for marking the ballot paper.
Since it's launch the West Bromwich-based plastic fabricator has sold 1000s of booths in the UK and Europe - they are used in everything from National General elections to elections at universities and colleges, as well as events and launches.
