Made in Britain member Wrights Plastics has helped luxury garden pod manufacturer Ornate Garden recover from the loss of a longstanding supplier – and their new partnership is going from strength to strength.
From their Coleshill base, Ornate Garden has been at the forefront of the design and making of luxurious outdoor pods that have created unique and cool spaces not only in private gardens but hotels, restaurants, meeting spaces and many other locations.
When quality is paramount, finding trusted suppliers who share that belief is essential. Unfortunately, in 2024 a supplier of the acrylic panels used in the making of the pods folded – leaving the company with an unwanted search for a new supplier.
Following an initial enquiry from the company and some exploratory meetings Wrights Plastics were delighted to be appointed as a new supplier. New tooling was developed and fairly quickly the first panels were in production.
the West Bromwich -based acrylic fabricator was able to utilise our core skills developed over 50years.
Firstly they laser cut plastic sheets and drill the required holes which are then countersunk. Window panels are then sent to the print department where a dot matrix print helps reduce the amount of UV penetration, ensuring the cool looking pods stay cool too.
All the panels – some over 1m high and wide, are then formed into shape in drape moulding ovens, overseen by their expert teams. In just 6 months they have supplied 1000s of panels with more orders in production.
