Instinct Hardware ready for blast off

A new shot blasting unit has been installed today at Instinct Hardware, providing a larger space to shot blast ironmongery and component work. The new unit offers superior ventilation for staff undertaking the shot blasting, as well as allowing the Instinct team the opportunity to work on oversized pieces.

Adding the Containablast unit allows Instinct to work much more efficiently in a number of ways. The size of the unit allows the user to blast multiple items at once, allowing for a higher volume of work to be completed, bringing down lead times on this popular finish.

Haq Meharban, Sales & Marketing Director for Instinct, tells us “The new unit is allowing us to move with the times. We’re seeing more oversized ironmongery coming through the factory – the new unit means we can spray items up to 3m, rather than the 1m we could spray previously.

The extraction system on the new unit is much better too. Our top priority is making sure our staff have a safe working environment, and this unit gives us a much nicer space to work in. As it’s an enclosed space it also minimizes any dust in the nearby area too.”

The new unit is also more environmentally friendly, with a better abrasive recycling system, collecting any waste material for re-use.
