Initially starting from a kitchen table in 2010, founder Stuart Malcolmson, setup ORKA Outdoors (back then called Arctic Wolf) as a solution to lower quality active dog equipment being produced in the Far East.
Growing up in knitwear engineering, he had seen how great British manufactured products are had also seen the increasing amount of British textile production moving abroad. He therefore felt it was close to his heart to ensure that everything he produced was manufactured here in Britain, forever!
Since that time ORKA Outdoors has moved into its dedicated factory and warehouse in the edge of the Peak District National Park and continues to produce its own Arctic Wolf branded products for the active dog market, with the tagline of “Connected to Your Dogs”. This tagline means so much more than just the physical connection created by lead, collar or harness. It’s also about that connection every owner grows with their dog each and every time they go out and enjoy life together, whether that be walking in the park or running over mountains.
In addition to manufacturing the Arctic Wolf range, ORKA Outdoors also manufactures a variety of pet accessories for both established international and independent emerging brands, as part of it’s YOUR LABEL, YOUR BRAND, YOUR PRODUCT initiative. This is designed to support any sized business within the pet accessories sector to develop their own range of British manufactured products, regardless of budget. This partnership approach has now led ORKA Outdoors to become one of the leading specialist manufacturers of pet accessories in Europe and continues to see the company grow.
This has also led to fantastic partnerships with other Made in Britain members to ensure that, as far as possible, everything down to the last component are Made in Britain.
