Midlands manufacturer and Made in Britain member Wrights Plastics has started the process of installing solar panels to lower their carbon footprint.
The panels will be fitted on the roof of their 46000sq ft West Bromwich HQ - that's a lot of roof and that will allow them to generate a lot of renewable carbon-free energy that will reduce their energy-use and significantly lower their impact on the environment.
The work on installing the panels has already started and should be completed by the end of February 2023.
Developing a more sustainable approach to how they work is a very important to the acrylic-fabrication specialist and their investment in solar energy is just the latest in an 'ambitious plans' to reduce their environmental impact that has seen them

- Improve waste segregation resulting in significantly more plastics sent for recycling
- Install an energy-efficient lighting system at their HQ that reduces C02 emissions by 17 tonnes a year
The company state that they also continually work with our customers to develop the most sustainable option for their projects.
