Joshua Duddridge fills new design role at Envirotect

In response to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, Envirotect has re-evaluated its processes and increased its focus on in-house manufacturing by creating the role of a product design engineer.

Joshua Duddridge has recently graduated in product design engineering from Brunel University.  In the new role, he will be developing a range of products from design concept to completion, taking into consideration the engineering difficulties involved, including sourcing materials and manufacturing processes.

Duddridge said “I have always enjoyed the creative freedom of product design mixed with the technical challenges of figuring out how to make a concept work.  I am looking forward to supporting Envirotect with its ambitious growth plans.”

The company provides a range of radiation and RF shielding products including lead-lined plasterboards or plywood, door sets, x-ray screens, observation windows, cabinets, lead glass, lead vinyl and RF cages, with associated products including RF tests and RF door maintenance.

“We are delighted to welcome Josh to the team at a really exciting time for the company,” commented managing director Niven Smith.  “Envirotect has emerged from the challenges of the pandemic in a strong position, and we are seeing growing demand for our products across the healthcare sectors.”
