Keraflo joins BAFSA following landmark LPCB fire valve accreditation

Keraflo, a leader in water management solutions for commercial and public buildings, has officially joined the British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association (BAFSA). This membership signifies Keraflo's commitment to enhancing fire safety standards in the UK and ensures that its fire protection products adhere to the highest industry regulations.

It comes in the wake of the company’s accreditation from the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) which underscores the quality and reliability of Keraflo’s Fire Valves – the first in the industry to receive such recognition under the stringent requirements of LPS 2083. This milestone aligns with BAFSA's mission to promote the highest standards of fire safety through automatic fire sprinklers, positioning Keraflo as a key contributor to advancing fire protection systems.

"Joining BAFSA is a natural progression for Keraflo as we continue to innovate in the field of fire safety. With the LPCB accreditation of our Fire Valves, we’re setting a new standard in the industry and BAFSA membership allows us to further advocate for safer, more compliant fire protection systems,” says Richard Braid, Managing Director of Keraflo. “This partnership will help us collaborate with like-minded professionals and continue to push the boundaries of safety and performance in fire protection.”

BAFSA is the UK’s leading trade association for the promotion of fire sprinkler systems, working closely with regulators, fire services and industry bodies to ensure the highest safety standards are met across all sectors. As a member, Keraflo joins a network of experts committed to improving fire safety and raising awareness of the life-saving benefits of automatic fire suppression systems.

“Keraflo’s solutions align perfectly with BAFSA’s objectives of ensuring the highest levels of safety in building systems. Our membership will enable us to work alongside other industry leaders to promote best practices and drive compliance in the fire safety sector,” says Richard.

Alasdair Perry, CEO of BAFSA, adds: “BAFSA is proud to represent, promote and enhance the manufacture, installation and maintenance of automatic fire sprinkler and water-based fire suppression systems in all buildings, across all sectors, with the highest degree of competence and professionalism. With a strong focus on educating and training our members, influencing industry stake holders and promoting the benefits fire protection systems provide in saving lives and property and businesses.

“Manufacturer and supplier companies such as Keraflo are a vital part of the sprinkler industry, and we are delighted to welcome them as members and I am sure they will provide a valuable contribution to our life saving industry.”
