In August 2019, Leigh Spinners manufactured a multi-sport pitch for installation at Romsey School, Hants, and the project was completed later that year. The International Hockey Federation have recently completed a test and awarded the field FIH Certification. This is based on the FIH's own Hockey Turf and Field Standards which look to satisfy requirements relating to construction, performance and player welfare.
The field is now certified for a period of three years, commencing on the date of the field test. It has been added to FIH's list of certified fields, which can be found at http://fih.ch/inside-fih/our-members/. England Hockey and European Hockey Federation have also received notification that there is another certified field in their region. It is the second FIH accredited field manufactured by Leigh Spinners Ltd.
